DUNE SEA ANTLION (FDM)

Straight from December's Patreon comes this Dune Sea Antlion. It is photographed on the Desert Environment PDF Battle Mat available on Gumroad too. The Antlion is about 520mm or 2’ across and can print on a printer with a print bed of 180x180mm that you can print the prints on. Printy! It’s got bits that figures can stand on without falling off. It goes together with OpenLOCK clips, so it can pack away neatly (OpenLOCK is copyright of printablescenery.com) The teeth and tentacles of the central section need to be glued in place. The centre tongue beaky thing can be replaced with a pre-digital FX sphincter type opening, if one prefers, for gobbling up jetpacked bounty hunters and their ilk. I used some tree supports when I printed the tentacles, just to give them good stability and make sure they printed well.
This set was designed for FDM printers. I've test printed everything on my Ender3 v2 and it all came out very nicely at 0.12mm layer thickness using Esun PLA+ Bone White. Resin printing of this stuff is not supported in any way, you are on your own if you want to give it a try.

The figures, other scenery, and battle mat shown in the renders and photos are not included.

Technical Notes

• The files are designed for 35mm scale miniatures.
• These are high quality 3D print production files intended for filament printing. They may work on resin printers, but I do not support that printing method as standard.
• STLs are oriented for best printing and may require supports, unless it states in the description that do not. I suggest you download the free model to familiarize yourself with my formats and check compatibility with your printer(s).
• I suggest a printer such as the Creality Ender3 v2 as being compatible with the files as this is what they were test printed on.
